Earth and Sky Radio Series - Features on NASA Earth Science - Earth and Sky is an award winning daily science radio series heard by millions of
listeners on over 950 commercial and public stations and their
translators throughout the United States. It can also be heard in Canada,
the South Pacific and on a variety of international networks, including
Armed Forces Radio, World Radio Network and Voice of America.
Each day, Deborah Byrd and Joel Block discuss popular science subjects that affect our everyday
lives.
Earth & Sky (E&S) and NASA's Earth Science Enterprise have collaborated on a series of 90-second
radio programs highlighting ESE science, with scientists participating from Goddard Space Flight Center
and Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The E&S radio series programs are produced for a measured audience of
more than 3.8 million listeners (weekly). The E&S Web site contains links to the audio and text files for
all E&S shows, as well as links to related educational resources. The E&S features on NASA Earth
science will also be available on CD-ROM from NASA CORE (http://core.nasa.gov) late summer 2000.

Educator Resource Center - The Educator Resource Center at the Goddard Space Flight Center serves educators in the eleven northeastern states (Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New
Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont) and the District of Columbia.
Located at the Goddard Visitor Center, the Educator Resource Center is a place where educators can come and use NASA resources to develop their aerospace education programs.
Here educators research, gather ideas and duplicate audiovisual materials.
Materials available at the resource laboratory reflect NASA's research and technology development and relate to such curricula areas as astronomy, Earth science, aeronautics,
mathematics, physical science and life science. Teachers in disciplines other than science and mathematics are encouraged to explore ways in which aerospace materials may be
incorporated into their classroom lessons.
