About the Earth Science Educator

The Earth Science Educator is the educational portal site of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center's Earth-Sun Exploration Division. It contains hundreds of teaching and learning resources available from within the Earth Sciences Directorate and provides teachers and students with quick access to a set of rich and scientifically-oriented educational resources on a wide range of Earth Science research activities.

The Earth Sciences Educator is a searchable links directory and a web crawler search engine that spans all the web-based educational information of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center's Earth-Sun Exploration Division (also known as Code 610.) The Educator combines the best search and browsing methods that are available today on the World Wide Web.

With the Educator, you can browse through its specialized hierarchy of Earth Sciences education information: a large collection of educational elements created by people, not computer programs. And by browsing, you can have in front of you a good, perhaps complete listing of all the sites that cover a particular Earth Science educational topic. Just look for the educational element (or category). You can navigate this structure and peruse all our education links contained within it, making choices as you go along.

If the Educator doesn't find any matching entries in its links directory, you will be given the option to access our web crawler index, a search engine that automatically "crawls" the HTML text of our education web sites. This index contains results for literally hundreds of individual educational web pages produced by our scientists, engineers, administrative and support staff.

We hope you find to be a useful tool for exploring our web-based Earth Science educational material.

Please let us know what you think of it.
